SENIOR SCRUM MASTER – Littleton, CO
The Select Group is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to join our team onsite in Littleton, CO to support a portfolio of wireless and cloud automation initiatives.
This individual will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices, driving effective backlog management within Jira, and enabling engineering teams to prioritize and execute work in complex, fast-paced environments.
The ideal candidate brings a balanced approach to team leadership—offering thoughtful guidance while leveraging strong technical acumen to align priorities, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure consistent delivery across distributed teams.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in managing agile projects (software development projects, cloud engineering projects, automation tools and observability projects)
- Hands-on data analysis and project KPIs build.
- Hands-on quality control tools and techniques (6 sigma, Kaizen, or Lean)
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify requirements, quickly identify problems, and collaboratively find creative solutions.
- Ability to assist in documenting requirements as well as resolve conflicts or ambiguities.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in managing/aligning multiple vendors across a nation wide deployments.
Bonus Experience:
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle in any of the following environments: Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, etc.
- Hands-on DevOps Experience and ability to manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Stays relevant through ongoing trainings, conferences, or education in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Security Capabilities
- Business Intelligence
- Software Quality
- Data Modeling, Classification, and Control
- Management/Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Good knowledge of the telecom networks, platforms, systems and tools build processes and projects’ deployment and operations structure.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business/Project /Engineering Management, IT and Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree.
- CSM, CSPO, PMP, PMI-ACP or SAFe certification.
What You'll Do:
- Serves as an organizational leader in developing and maintaining the implementation of project roadmaps by negotiating outcomes and timelines with management and technical teams.
- Builds and maintains cross-functional teams communication channels and alignment to achieve the set goals.
- Works on building timelines, prioritizes team efforts, and utilizes resources and tools for the purpose of projects’ delivery.
- Bridges the conceptual gap between the technical and management teams.
- Participates in identifying skill gaps across teams and arranges the needed knowledge transfer and training sessions in an effort to mitigate constraints based on knowledge gaps
- Works alongside the team to ensure that the goals and objectives are sensible, attainable, and ordered based on priorities/capacity
- Collects and monitors team and project performance data to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
- Studies the need of resources and tools for specific projects for the purpose of projects’ timely delivery.
- Leads the scrum and technical teams in self-organization.
- Leads the team to reach an agile/scrum maturity.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and ensuring that our products and services meet our high operational excellence standards.
- Document all aspects of the project including requirements, risks, issues, project schedules, and meeting agendas/notes.
- Quickly escalates issues to other groups or departments where support is needed and tracks for resolution and completion.
