Communications & Events Manager – Employee Experience

The Select Group is seeking an experienced Communications & Events Manager to support the Internal Communications and Employee Experience team within a large global technology organization.

This is a hands-on consulting role that blends internal communications, project/program management, employee experience, and event support. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can take complex or incomplete information and turn it into clear, engaging employee communications, while also owning the project plans, timelines, and operational details needed to keep multiple initiatives moving forward.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Internal Communications: Draft, edit, coordinate, and publish employee and leadership communications for a global employee audience across multiple internal channels.
  • Editorial & Channel Management: Maintain communications calendars, manage intake and publishing schedules, and coordinate distribution across email, SharePoint, Teams, and other internal channels.
  • Newsletters & Content: Manage recurring newsletters and employee communications from content collection and stakeholder input through writing, editing, review, and publication.
  • Events & Employee Programs: Provide communications and project management support for town halls, leadership forums, employee events, recognition programs, onboarding, and other employee engagement initiatives.
  • Program Management: Develop and own project plans, workback schedules, trackers, timelines, and status updates while proactively managing deadlines, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • SharePoint & Content Management: Maintain and update SharePoint sites, employee-facing content, team resources, templates, and supporting documentation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with leaders, communications teams, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, drive deliverables, and keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Event Execution: Support virtual and employee events from planning through execution, including scheduling, invitations, show flows, content coordination, Microsoft Teams support, recaps, and post-event follow-up.
  • Employee Experience: Support initiatives focused on employee engagement, community, culture, recognition, onboarding, and overall employee experience.
  • Operational Support: Provide hands-on administrative and operational support as needed, including maintaining resources, coordinating schedules, organizing information, and improving repeatable team processes.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, communications program management, employee experience, or a related environment.
  • Strong hands-on writing and editing experience, with examples of personally creating employee-facing communications.
  • Experience developing newsletters, leadership communications, organizational updates, employee stories, or similar internal content.
  • Strong project/program management experience, including creating project plans, workback schedules, trackers, and managing multiple deadlines and dependencies.
  • Experience managing or maintaining SharePoint sites and employee-facing content.
  • Experience supporting employee events, town halls, onboarding, recognition, or engagement programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multiple teams and levels of leadership.
  • Ability to independently take an initiative from an initial idea or request through execution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple communications, programs, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, particularly SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote.
  • Comfortable balancing creative communications work with the tactical, administrative, and operational responsibilities required to keep programs running smoothly.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting a large, global technology organization or similarly complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience with change communications, employee culture/community initiatives, or diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Strong PowerPoint and visual storytelling skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, multimedia production, or other creative content tools.
