Project Manager- Los Angeles, CA 

The Select Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager! This resource will support with budget tracking, technical contracting, and delivery of technology initiatives.

 

Project Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Support technical contract development by coordinating inputs from vendors, technical teams, Legal, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Track budgets, forecasts, purchase and payment information, and supporting data; prepare accurate management reports.
  • Lead smaller technical projects or workstreams using appropriate Agile and SDLC methods.
  • Analyze business processes across departments and translate needs into detailed functional requirements, specifications, and business rules.
  • Assess regulatory impacts and incorporate applicable requirements into project documentation and traceability.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and working sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Maintain requirements traceability, changes, decisions, dependencies, and status throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, developers, and architects to confirm that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
  • Prepare presentations, visual aids, and program updates for management, directors, and executives.
  • Support stakeholder communications, meeting coordination, action tracking, and follow-through.

Project Manager Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Experience supporting utility, AMI, enterprise technology, or multi-vendor transformation programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience gathering and documenting technical or functional requirements.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, including documentation, analysis, traceability, change control, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with communication planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery and SDLC processes.
  • Ability to develop detailed functional specifications and business rules.
  • Ability to influence solution design and work independently on moderately complex initiatives.
  • Knowledge of business processes and data concepts relevant to business systems analysis.
  • Skill in analyzing system impacts, identifying downstream effects, and facilitating requirements workshops.
