Project Manager- Mobile Telecommunications ( Stamford, CT)
The Select Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Telecommunications team based in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and identify risks and opportunities within enterprise-level organizations.

Project Manager Required Skills

  • 5–10 years of project management experience, including ownership of the full project lifecycle from initiation through completion.
  • Experience managing large-scale, high-visibility projects with budgets of $1 million or more.
  • Telecom industry experience, preferably within a large corporate or enterprise environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong executive presence and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to develop polished, executive-level presentations that clearly communicate project status, business impact, risks, and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead large stakeholder groups, facilitate discussions, build alignment, and navigate competing priorities and personalities.
  • Strong business acumen, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
  • A business-focused approach to project management, emphasizing stakeholder alignment, operational impact, and value delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work onsite in Stamford, Connecticut 4 days a week.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience supporting MVNO, wireless, or mobile telecommunications initiatives.
  • Executive reporting and presentation experience.
  • Experience working across large, cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution and completion.
  • Establish project plans and monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Maintain consistent communication with key stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Prepare polished executive-level presentations, reports, and project updates.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials that may be delivered by project leaders or other stakeholders.
  • Lead change-management, communication, and documentation activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, drive alignment, and resolve competing priorities.
  • Ensure projects remain within the approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively.
  • Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when appropriate.
