The Select Group is seeking a Senior Cost & Benchmarking Specialist with deep experience supporting utility and offsite infrastructure construction projects. This role will support large-scale infrastructure initiatives by developing cost models, benchmarking project performance, and driving cost controls across complex utility scopes. Limited travel (approximately 1–2 trips per quarter) may be required to support project alignment and stakeholder collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 12–15 years of Professional Experience
- Deep knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and benchmarking frameworks within the utility sector
- Experience supporting utility infrastructure projects, including Power transmission/distribution, Substations, Water or wastewater infrastructure, Underground or overhead utilities, Heavy civil infrastructure
- Background working with large-scale construction GCs, utility companies, or power providers
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset
What You’ll Do
Cost Estimation & Benchmarking
- Develop and maintain Class 1–5 cost estimates for offsite infrastructure scopes such as substations, transmission systems, water/wastewater infrastructure, and heavy civil works.
- Build and manage cost benchmarking frameworks using internal historical data, industry databases, and regional utility cost curves.
- Identify cost outliers and perform comparative cost analysis across geographies, vendors, and delivery models (EPC vs. design-bid-build).
- Validate quantities, unit rates, and productivity assumptions in collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Establish and enforce project cost baselines, tracking budget vs. forecast vs. actuals across multiple infrastructure projects.
- Lead cost risk and contingency analysis, including probabilistic modeling such as Monte Carlo simulations.
- Produce executive-level dashboards and reporting highlighting cost performance, benchmark alignment, and risk exposure.
- Partner with engineering, construction, procurement, permitting, and land acquisition teams to incorporate external cost drivers into project forecasts.
- Maintain and continuously improve cost data libraries and benchmarking intelligence for future infrastructure development

The Select Group is seeking a Site Commissioning Manager to support TSG as we continue expanding one of the largest data center footprints in the world.
This individual will play a critical role in the delivery of new data center capacity, partnering closely with construction, engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure successful commissioning of mission critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on site leadership opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and enjoys driving complex projects through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning efforts for assigned data center construction projects from pre-functional testing through final turnover
- Coordinate closely with construction managers, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive project execution across scope, schedule, quality, and issue resolution
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure systems are commissioned to client standards
- Support execution of testing activities across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and controls systems
- Conduct site inspections and monitor commissioning readiness

Planning Program Manager (Supply Chain Systems Transformation)

Overview
This opportunity sits within a centralized operations group supporting a complex silicon/hardware supply chain, with a focus on evolving and stabilizing planning capabilities across demand, supply, and IBP/S&OP.
The environment today is somewhat fragmented across systems, processes, and ownership. The goal of this role is to bring structure, alignment, and long-term direction to the planning function by evaluating the current landscape and driving a more cohesive, scalable approach.
This is less about day-to-day program execution and more about strategic transformation. The team is looking for someone who can step back, assess where things stand, and define and drive an end-to-end roadmap across planning systems, data, and workflows.

Project Details: Engineer to join Substation Electrical and Structural Team (Physical Design) providing engineering technical support associated with the design, analysis, construction, and operations of substations.
Must Have Skills:
- 2+ years of relevant substation engineering, electric utility experience, power generation, or relevant experience

Day to Day responsibilities:
- Engineer will review physical design electrical drawings, plan and profile drawings, grounding, conduit, foundation, and vendor drawings as necessary to facilitate the design and construction of substation facilities.
- Develop, review, and analyze basic one lines, relay and metering one lines, AC & DC schematics, SCADA diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and schematics as necessary to facilitate the design and construction of substation facilities.
- Manages basic, standard, or complex engineering projects and studies, ensuring completion by established timeline and at a reasonable cost.
- Prepares engineering and construction packages, including maps, material bills, drawings and work orders.
- Communicate with contract engineering firms regarding design compliance to CenterPoint Energy's standards and philosophy.
- Interface with inspectors, engineers, construction personnel, warehousing personnel, purchasing agents, vendors and management regarding materials and standards development, procurement, and packaging issues.

The Select Group is seeking a Systems Implementation Engineer to lead the hands-on implementation of an IT Lab Automation and Asset Management solution within the customer’s lab environment local to Kansas City. This is an onsite, execution-focused role responsible for configuring systems, building workflows, coordinating physical implementation activities, and driving day-to-day progress of the lab deployment.
The engineer will work under the direction of the Technical Program Manager and serve as the primary onsite resource responsible for translating implementation plans into working solutions across NetBox, Asset Panda, Jira, and related lab processes.
What You’ll Bring
