Senior Data Engineer 
 Project Details:

  • This position involves working on a new project aimed at strengthening the global Open RAN ecosystem and building the next generation of wireless networks. The project will be based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and will include facilities where participants can test and evaluate individual or multiple network elements to ensure Open RAN interoperability, performance, and security. The initiative will contribute to the development, deployment, and adoption of open and interoperable standards-based radio access networks, driving the Open RAN ecosystem from lab testing to commercial deployment

Must have Skills:
  • 5-7 + years of data experience, Data Engineering, Warehousing, Cleansing, Transformations, finding data discrepancies and insights on Wifi data, real time streaming data, Mobile device data, etc…   
  • Experience with Core Lab Infrastructure in private and public cloud environments
  • Experience working with large data sets, transformation, and analysis of data from various sources using SQL and AWS
  • Well versed experience working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product Teams, Design Teams to support data infrastructure needs
  • Experience with data visualizations / dashboards – tool this team uses is Grafana (other tools are ok – Grafana preferred)
 
Plus Skills:
  • Lab Testing Experience (OEM Devices) Original Equipment Manufacturer such as Samsung, Ericsson, Qualcomm, Verizon , etc . Telecom Industry experience
  • Experience testing, and validating hardware and software solutions again an O-RAN Network

 Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and assemble data using statistical techniques
  • Provide effective visualization in form of reports and dashboards to support business efforts (this team uses Grafana)
  • Develop and implement databases and data collection systems
  • Design and implement departmental process improvements including re-design of infrastructure for enhanced scalability, optimized data delivery, and automation manual processes
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support data infrastructure needs
  • Understand high-level business operations and dependencies and gauge impacts of upstream inputs
  • Building infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and analysis of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects aimed at driving cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency
