CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SITE CERTIFICATION ANALYST

Our client is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Site Certification Analyst to support the certification of critical infrastructure in Austin, TX. This role will initially require 4 days onsite and 1 day remote for training. The position is crucial for ensuring that alarm systems, power systems, HVAC, and other critical systems are up to date and functioning properly. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical systems knowledge and keen attention to detail. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project within a Fortune 100 company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Broad understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Understanding of Critical Infrastructure device types and terminology, including:
    • Wiring terminology: contact closures, circuits being open vs closed and what that means.
    • Power/Redundant power systems, including commercial/utility power, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), generators, DC plant/battery systems, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
    • HVAC systems, including air conditioning, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), and temperature probes.
    • Fire control systems.
  • Background with Critical Infrastructure (CI) monitoring, including:
    • Contract Closure NO/NC (normally open/normally closed), relay wiring, and alarming.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS SharePoint.

PLUS SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting critical site infrastructure for telecommunications providers.
  • Experience supporting a telecommunications plant or Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Experience logging into devices (Telnet, SSH, IP, Password logins, etc).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support critical infrastructure site certification across over 1,600 locations of varying sizes.
  • Ensure that alarm systems and other critical systems are up to date and functioning correctly.
  • Utilize a provided checklist to confirm that various devices within each site are certified.
  • Apply general knowledge of facilities, electrical systems, and wiring to complete tasks.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail in all aspects of site certification.
