Position Title: OpenText Developer
Company: Top utility company in Southern California
Start Date: 9/23/24
Mostly Remote: Expected to attend meetings once/month
Work Location: Candidates must be local to Southern California
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of OpenText experience with proficiency in configuring or customizing solutions
- Expertise with OpenText Content Server and OpenText APIs
- Basic Software development skills
- Some experience with SQL Server and SQL queries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Extended ECM or OpenText AppWorks
- HTML and Javascript
- AWS experience
- Agile experience
- Experience with Intelligent Capture or the digitization of documents
- Previous experience in the Utilities industry
Additional Information:
This OpenText developer will support a Large Natural Gas Utility in developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions using OpenText technologies and will support the expansion of the platform on an Enterprise level.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize OpenText solutions, including OpenText Content Server, Documentum, and other related modules to meet business requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing OpenText applications, addressing any issues or bugs promptly.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct unit testing and assist in system integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables. Support deployment and implementation activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to OpenText applications, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest OpenText technologies and best practices, recommending improvements and innovations as appropriate.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business users, and external vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.
