Job Title: Global Commodity Manager
Location: Cupertino, CA - Hybrid (Onsite 3x per week, Tuesday - Thursday)
Duration: 12+ month contract

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Global Commodity Manager to join a leading technology company renowned for its innovative products and strong market presence. In this role, you will strategize business relationships and negotiate contractual terms to support service operations. Your focus will be on cost, pricing, infrastructure, continuity of supply, quality, and warranty redemption. You will drive business partners to enhance their infrastructure to support our client's developing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and negotiate business relationships and contracts to meet service operations requirements.
  • Supervise business partners’ performance through business reviews and supplier performance index (SPI) processes.
  • Conduct demand forecasting and supply planning; coordinate and track business partner readiness.
  • Optimize inventory levels to support seasonality and promotions.
  • Lead projects to design the service part supply chain, ensuring high service levels at the lowest possible cost.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and build models to drive savings.
  • Shape overall investment strategy to ensure operational and financial success.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in Mandarin.
  • Experience in global vendor management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in reverse supply chain.
  • Expertise in cost analysis for sourcing strategy.
  • Proven ability to set up new supply chains.
  • Knowledge of factory operations to ramp up suppliers.
  • Sensitivity analysis to identify variables for process improvement.
  • Supply demand analysis for continuity of supply management.
  • Order scheduling, shelf life, and lead time management for material preparations.
  • Willingness to be on calls after hours to connect with vendors in China.
