Data Engineer (Contract - Fully Remote)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to help clear a large backlog of development activities ranging from small application projects to predictive modeling and classification systems. Join the Premium Services Delivery team at a leading enterprise known for its cutting-edge technology in edge-to-cloud platforms.

Overview/Project Details: Our client’s Premium Services Delivery team is retooling a portfolio of ad-hoc toolkits. They have generated a backlog of development activities, including troubleshooting tools, log parsers, predictive modeling, and classification systems.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python, pandas, and NumPy
• Extensive experience coding in Python (heavy Python environment)
• Experience with HTML and JSON coding
• Proficiency in data visualization libraries such as Plotly, Matplotlib, and Seaborn
• Experience with data presentation using dataframe/JSON/series
• Knowledge in mathematical statistics (mean, median, standard deviations)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Based in San Jose and willing to go onsite a few times a week to collaborate with the team

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Retooling various tools for predictive analysis
• Heavy Python coding and creating automation
• Collaborating closely with the Architect who will be pulling data from databases and working with the business on requirements
• Data cleansing and classification
• Presenting coding accomplishments to the Senior Director weekly
