Successful candidates will receive a NERC certification upon completion of training and testing. This role is fully on site in Houston, TX\u00a0and operates on a rotating schedule that includes Day, Night, Weekday and Weekend work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Associate System Controller Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic electrical \/ operational background preferred\n<li>Field\/Line Work (Substation, transmission, construction, etc.)\n<li>Must be willing and able to work a Dupont Schedule (shift work, days, nights, etc.)\n<li>Required to take and pass a pre-qualification SO\/PD exam utilized to identify learning capabilities\n<li>Prior utility experience is highly desired\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Associate System Controller Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn to monitor and control transmission and substation facilities to provide a safe, economic, and secure operation of the Houston Electric electrical power system in normal and emergency conditions\n<li>Ensure that the Transmission System is operated to meet wholesale electrical market needs while preserving reliability using Good Utility Practice\n<li>Enter into Associate System Controller program including in-depth 3rd party training\n<li>Overall training goal; pass NERC certification exam; enter career path for System Controller\n<\/ul>\n<p>TSG is an equal opportunity employer.
